2025 Killarney Toy Run: A Celebration of Community
The 2025 Killarney Toy Run is fast approaching, and Cape Town is gearing up for one of the most heartfelt and meaningful events on the motorcycling calendar. Taking place on Sunday, 30 November, this cherished annual tradition brings riders, families and communities together for one purpose: to give thousands of children across the Western Cape the joy of receiving a toy they might otherwise never get.
As one of the world’s biggest motorcycle charity gatherings, the Toy Run has grown into a powerful symbol of generosity and unity. This year marks the 43rd annual Cape Town Toy Run, proudly hosted once again at Killarney International Raceway, and whether you ride, drive or arrive on foot, you’re invited to be part of something truly special.
A Tradition Rooted in Giving Back

The 2025 Killarney Toy Run continues a legacy that began in 1983, when the first Cape Town Toy Run saw just 76 motorcycles roll out in support of children in need. Four decades later, attendance has multiplied fiftyfold, with thousands of bikes of every shape and size converging on Killarney, each adorned with toys ready to be shared.
These toys at the 2025 Killarney Toy Run go directly to children in foster homes, orphanages, places of safety, grassroots daycare centres, clinics and crèches throughout the Western Cape. For many of these children, this event is the only opportunity all year to receive a gift. The Toy Run is more than a ride; it’s a community lifeline.
And the best part? Toys don’t need to be new. Hundreds of kids donate their own well-loved toys, passing them on to someone who needs them more. Organisers of the 2025 Killarney Toy Run say these cherished toys carry a unique kind of magic, a karma that only comes from heartfelt giving.
Bring Toys, Not Tickets, and Enjoy the Festival

At the 2025 Killarney Toy Run, your entry fee is simple: just bring toys. From dolls and vehicles to sports equipment, board games, art sets and especially toys suited for older children, everything helps. A truck will be stationed at the venue for you to drop off your donations as you arrive.
Once your toys are delivered, the real celebration begins. Entry to Killarney’s massive festival area is completely free for anyone who donates. Expect a full day of entertainment, including:
- Live music featuring Akkedis, Llevado and The John’s
- Food and drink stalls, including halaal options
- A dedicated children’s play area
- Motorcycle displays
- Badge and T-shirt sales
- Market stalls offering bikewear, accessories and collectibles
The 2025 Killarney Toy Run is designed not just for bikers, but for everyone. Families, friends, supporters and first-time visitors are encouraged to join. Whether you arrive by car, bike or bus; all roads lead to Killarney on 30 November. You can read more about the event here!
