Cape Town motorsport fans are in for a treat as RX Killarney Cape Town hosts the first-ever RallyCross Tag Team Challenge on Saturday, 23 August 2025. With six teams of five drivers battling it out in an all-new format, only the top three will take home the gold.

RX Killarney Cape Town: The First-Ever RallyCross Tag Team Challenge
Round 5 of the RX Killarney Cape Town series introduces a brand-new format — the RallyCross Tag Team Challenge. Six teams of five drivers each will compete across short, action-packed heats that combine gravel, asphalt, jumps, and tight corners. With speed, precision, and strategy all playing a role, the format rewards not just individual performance but also teamwork. In the end, only the top three teams will stand on the podium, making every lap and every changeover crucial.
RX Killarney Cape Town: Event Schedule and Attractions
The event kicks off on Saturday, 23 August 2025, with racing sessions running from 09:00 to 18:00, followed by a prizegiving ceremony at 19:00. Fans won’t just get RallyCross — the ticket also includes entry to the Killarney Drag Day and an IASCA Sound Off, offering two high-energy motorsport spectacles in one. Passenger rides will also be available for R100, giving fans the chance to experience RallyCross from the co-driver’s seat.
RX Killarney Cape Town: Tickets and Family Fun
Tickets are available on Webtickets at R95 for adults, R10 for under-16s, and free for under-12s. At the gate, adult tickets are R130 and under-16s R20. The event is designed to be family-friendly, with play areas for kids, great food options including halaal, and ice-cold drinks for spectators. With sideways action on track and fun off it, the RallyCross Tag Team Challenge promises a day packed with motorsport excitement for all ages.
